There was a lot to like about the Hostel. The fact it was almost directly opposite a tube-station on a line which also goes to the centre made it the perfect compromise between quiet surroundings and accessibility to the city. The staff welcomed us when I arrived and gave us the full lowdown on surrounding businesses if we did not want to venture into the city at any one time. Going to the beach there was utterly brilliant, it was little used but had a life-guard right there, and the sea was beautilful. The twin-room was basically furnished but it had ample storage, the bed was really comfy and the air conditioning worked well which was a relief. The en-suite was also good.

A very minor point but the shower seemed to work on a timed-basis, which was a little inconvenient, but I can see how it suit the dormed rooms, if not the two-person ones!

Remember this is a hostel not a 5* hotel. Basic facilities but convenient for the town centre via the excellent transport system. Friendly people but they left you alone if you wanted privacy. Most important - receptionists are on the wavelength of the traveller.

Unusual to have breakfast without plates so you had to eat rolls off a napkin. That's only minor.

It was right across the street from a metro/subway station and not too far from the beach.

The noisiness of the people at night. People seemed to stay up all night. It was like living in a college dorm with activity at all hours. We had people who were staying at the hostel sitting on the sidewalk in front of the hotel playing music and talking until 4am. We had to leave at 6am the next morning so we did not get any sleep that night.

The kitchen and chill-out area with a television were a nice touch, and the large rooms and accessible bathrooms made our stay comfortable. the availability of A/C in the rooms and the outdoor terrace were great, and we appreciated being able to borrow umbrellas and beach balls. the private toilets in both the rooms and the common areas were convenient, and the lockers with card access provided ample space for our luggage.

I had a fantastic stay at a hostel in a great location. It was close to all the amenities like the metro station, grocery store, laundromat, cafes, and even the beach. the hostel had good wifi and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I particularly liked that they had computers available, which made it easy for me to organize my plans and book flights or hotels. The rooms were spacious and there were plenty of bathrooms throughout the hostel. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like. 😊.
